Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Mathews is home to the newest Good News Pantry in the county. Good News Pantry creator Jan Towne said this marks the eighth pantry to be placed in the county. Pictured, Rick Churray of Francis de Sales and his wife Barbara, not pictured, were key to bringing the pantry to the church. These pantries are open to those who may not have the means to afford every meal. Towne asks that all food donated be store bought and have a long shelf-life. The food also has to be able to handle the warming temperatures.
