Auto Max of Gloucester is not just your ordinary car dealership in Gloucester County. Its location in Ordinary holds a lot of history, including several eerie stories and tales.
Joe Volpe and Jeff Finch, who are salesmen at Auto Max, spoke about the strange experiences that Jeff has had there as well as some history of the ancient building, Seawell’s Ordinary, where the dealership is located.
One of the tales is from 2005 when the building was still a restaurant.
Jeff said that one of the waitresses at the restaurant was walking down the hallway after tending to one of her tables. One of the windows shut as she went by. She then shouted “Stop it, Joseph,” which is what those in the building would say when weird instances would happen. After she said that, all of the windows opened and shut repeatedly all at once. The waitress quit that very same day and never ever returned to Seawell’s Ordinary.
