The women of Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will sponsor the annual Lenten Soup with Love luncheons on Wednesdays beginning March 12 and ending April 9.
A short service led by the Rev. Gary Barker, rector of Kingston Parish, will begin at noon and feature homilies provided by members of the Mathews Christian Ministerial Association. The Rev. Coleman Tyler will provide the March 12 homily followed by: March 19, the Rev. Angie Hoen of Mathews Chapel UMC; March 26, the Rev. Kristie Askew of Grace Providence, St. Matthew and Emmanuel United Methodist churches; April 2, the Rev. Mr. Barker and April 9, the Rev. Dede Parrish of Saint Paul and Beulah churches.
Following the service, homemade soups and breads will be served. All donations will benefit Mathews County citizens through the Department of Social Services.
