The women of Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will sponsor the annual Lenten Soup with Love luncheons on Wednesdays, beginning Feb. 21 and ending March 20. A short service led by the Rev. Gary Barker, Kingston’s rector, will begin at noon and feature homilies provided by members of the Mathews Ministerial Association. He will provide the Feb. 21 homily followed by Feb. 28, Mary Ann Carr of Kingston Parish; March 6, Pastor Kristie Askew of Grace-Providence and Emmanuel U.M. churches; March 13, Pastor Marcus Stallworth of Mathews Chapel U.M. Church, and March 20, Mr. Barker. Following the service homemade soups and breads will be served. All donations will benefit Mathews County citizens.
