BBQ Chicken/Ribs
5 lbs. chicken/ribs
6 Tbsp. butter
3 large onions, chopped
½ c. brown sugar
3 Tbs. vinegar
2 Tbs. cayenne pepper
2 Tbs. black pepper
3 c. catsup
6 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 large green pepper, chopped
Boil chicken/ribs and 1 onion until tender. Sauce: melt butter in frying pan. Sauté onions and peppers. Add other ingredients. Pour sauce over cooked chicken/ribs. Bake at 350°F. uncovered for 1½ hours.
Baked Chicken
5 lbs. chicken
½ c. celery, chopped
¼ c. onion, chopped
3 Tbs. celery seed
1 stick butter, melted
2 Tbs. paprika
1 Tbs. black pepper
Place chicken in shallow pan. Pour melted butter over chicken. Sprinkle other ingredients (except paprika) evenly over chicken. Sprinkle paprika over chicken. Bake at 350°F. uncovered for 2½ hours or until tender.
