Soul Expressions, a Richmond-based band, will headline the opening concert of the Groovin’ in the Park series, to be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Deltaville Maritime Museum on Jackson Creek Road in Deltaville.
The band performs Motown, reggae, funk rock, and new and old rhythm and blues numbers. Folk artist Paige Melton will open.
Regular tickets for the concert will be accepted, since the special “Back to Woodstock” performance by Steve Bassett had to be canceled.
Tickets will be limited because of COVID-19 requirements and will only be available in advance. None will be sold at the door.
Those attending will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer will be available. Only hot dogs and water bottles will be available for purchase.
The concert will be held rain or shine.
