Soothin’ Summer Sounds

Art Muroff & Friends will perform dance music, show tunes, Latin music, and some swing and light rock during a Soothin’ Summer Sounds concert beginning at 7 o'clock tonight, Thursday, July 13, at the Mathews Memorial Library. This “classy jazz” group features Muroff, who began studying classical piano at age five in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. But he veered off into the world of jazz and pop, and at age 13 began playing with various jazz orchestras. The band will play “everything from Cole Porter to ‘Proud Mary’.”
