Sol Roots, Bobby BlackHat to perform Saturday at Flat Iron

Sol Roots and Bobby BlackHat will perform at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 12, at Flat Iron Crossroads, Gloucester. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. with food by Shore Bites food truck.
Adult tickets are $20 at the door or online at flatironcrossroads.com. Children ages 10 and under are free of charge.
Sol Roots, described as “a fierce guitarist and soulful vocalist,” has toured around the world with many musical legends, said a press release. The Sol Roots Band performs a mix of New Orleans influenced fund, deep blues, energetic rock, greasy soul, and hypnotic rhythms.
Sharing the stage is Bobby BlackHat, Virginia’s Blues Ambassador. He is an award-winning recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter, comedian and producer. A retired U.S. Coast Guard commander, BlackHat’s 27 years of distinguished military service included serving as a military aide to the president and being awarded the Coast Guard Medal for Heroism.
