Snowman fun

Neighbors in the Foxwell Estates neighborhood in Hayes took full advantage of Saturday’s snow by creating the giant snowman Foxwell (above). Jessica Fuller explained the neighbors came together to help their mail lady Launa Tenan, who is also a Foxwell Estates neighbor, get unstuck from the snow. Neighbors Ben Keener, Mike Bilger and Fuller, who is also a mail carrier, pulled Tenan out using Bilger’s truck and a strap. After helping Tenan, they decided that they would have some fun. “The snow was perfect in the sun and so we got to rolling,” Fuller said. After putting in a bit of “good ol’ manpower,” they used Keener’s excavator and straps to lift huge snowballs and build the snowman. “After constructing some nice attire with whatever we could pull together, Foxwell came to life,” Fuller said. “Neighbor Mike Bilger also gave us blue lights to add for an icy night scene.” Shown with Foxwell are, from left, Keener, Beverley Rooks and Fuller.
