Holly B. Smith of Gloucester has been appointed as a judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit for a term of eight years commencing July 1.
Smith was appointed as a juvenile and domestic relations court judge in the Ninth Judicial District for a six-year term that began July 1, 2019. Prior to the judgeship, Smith served two terms as Gloucester’s Commonwealth’s Attorney.
Originally from Indiana, Smith graduated from Poquoson High School and the University of Virginia before earning her law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
