The Smile Dental Group, based in Williamsburg with a number of locations, including Smiles of Mathews, is conducting a back-to-school backpack drive this month. This initiative aims to support local students in need by collecting essential school supplies, according to Dr. James A. Burden, founder of the practice.
Burden and his team are calling on the generosity of the local community to contribute to this worthy cause. “We are seeking donations of backpacks, school supplies, tissues, and Clorox wipes. Every donation will make a significant difference in preparing students for the upcoming school year,” a release stated.
Locally, donations can be dropped off at Smiles of Mathews, 44 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins.
The office is accepting donations during regular business hours through July 31. All collected items will be distributed to local schools and community centers.
