Six Gloucester High School swimmers will compete in the Group AAA Eastern Region Swim Meet tomorrow and Saturday at Old Dominion University.
Watkins Yeager (200 yard individual medley), Madalin Raines (50 yard freestyle and 100 yard breaststroke), Kendall Worland (500 yard freestyle) and Dreux Elliott II (100 yard backstroke) all qualified for the regional meet with their performances in the Jan. 28 Peninsula District Swim Meet. The GHS 400 freestyle relay team of Elliott, Yeager, Noah Kerney and Ethan Oberndorfer also qualified for the regional event.
Among other GHS district meet results, Raines broke her own school record in the 100 breaststroke in the meet with her time of 1:20.21 and the 200 yard freestyle relay team members Elliott, Yeager, Dylan Wyco and Oberndorfer broke the school record they set three weeks ago with a time of 1:41.34.
