Mary Pope titled this photo from Bethel Beach, Onemo, “The Sentinel.” She said, “I just love the way the heron appears to be incognito.”
Jay Crandell of Hayes observed a couple of thin, black lines across the moon, “which I saw being created like they would if they were contrails, but I’ve never seen a thin, dark or sharp before.” It was on Saturday, Dec. 14, about 5 o’clock. “I don’t have any idea what it might be; maybe some of your readers will know.”
