Shirley Ann Webb Taylor, 73, of Hayes, died Jan. 21, 2015 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Shirley was a native of the Northern Neck Warsaw area and had been a Gloucester resident for many years.

She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. Shirley was a wonderful cook and best known for her coconut cake. She thoroughly enjoyed yard sales and was a collector of exquisite glassware.

Shirley’s greatest joy was her family. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope and charity. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor; parents, Theodore and Lizzie Webb, and brothers, Theodore Webb III and William E. Webb.

She is survived by her son, Gary Taylor and wife Betsy; grandchildren, Cassie Taylor and Berkley Taylor; great-grandson, Trey Taylor, and sister, Margaret Rice and husband Emory.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Bob Robbins was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
