Sharon Wilson Bartley, age 65, of Gloucester, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Sharon was a graduate of Gloucester High School and she had a career in banking. She was affiliated with BB&T, Truist and William and Mary. Shopping was a favorite pastime, even vacationing around holidays for the “best deal.” Christmas was very special, celebrating with family, friends and cooking with her grandson, Colby. Decorating cakes was another talent, especially wedding cakes. Throughout her career and accomplishments, the greatest title she gained was Colby’s Memaw. Parents, Kenneth and Carrie Wilson; brothers, Kenneth and Michael, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Bartley; daughter, Maggie Bartley and fiancé Jeffrey Marsh; grandson, Colby Bartley; sister, Tammy Prosek (Jerry); mother-in-law, Janellee Bartley; numerous nieces and nephews. The family received friends on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. A graveside service conducted by Pastor Ashe Gibson was at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. We would like to thank her caregiver, Jolene, and Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for their love, compassion and kindness.
