More than 100 constituents came out Saturday morning to the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester to hear from U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine. For more than an hour at the meet-and-greet event hosted by the Gloucester County Democratic Committee, Kaine spoke about a wide range of issues, everything from the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, to the current situation with mail delays in the USPS Distribution Center in Sandston, answering questions on cards written by audience members. In one of the morning’s lighter moments (shown above), Kaine was called upon to break out his harmonica and give an impromptu performance. He is running for reelection to the U.S. Senate as the Democratic Party’s nominee; five candidates are seeking the Republican Party’s nomination in a June 18 primary. Early voting on that primary began May 3.
