Sears Hometown Store relocated in early March from Edgehill Shopping Center to the Shoppes at Gloucester south of the village.
Owner Jim Brinn said the new store has 12,000 square feet, including a 9,000-square-foot showroom and 3,000 square feet for receiving new items. With the additional space, Brinn said he now stocks more bedding and mattresses, and extra lawn and garden equipment.
The larger store soon will also be carrying more washers and dryers and extra fitness equipment, such as elliptical machines and treadmills.
The store carries a large line of products seen at the larger Sears stores, Brinn said, except he does not sell clothing. Also, customers can order from the full Sears online catalog at the local store, with items arriving within a few days.
