Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Eta Chapter, donated several books about African Americans to the Abingdon Elementary School library in observance of American Education Week. The books were given in memory of chapter member Blois Catlett, who taught at Abingdon for many years. Catlett, who retired in 2010 after 39 years teaching at Abingdon and Botetourt elementary schools, passed away in August.
