Charlie Ober received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., during commencement ceremonies on Dec. 17. A graduate of Mathews High School, Ober attended Northeastern on a rowing scholarship. He is the son of Jon and Kristen Ober, and Gale Meagher, all of Mathews.

Clint Miller of Gloucester, received a doctor of philosophy degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary on Dec. 17. The senior pastor at Petsworth Baptist Church, Miller also holds master of theology and master of divinity degrees from New Orleans BTS and a master of education degree in business education from State University of West Georgia. Miller is married to Tammy Rachal Miller and is the son of Betty Miller of Newborn, Ga., and the late Paul Miller.
