Michael Wagner of Gloucester, recently began a 15-week internship as part of NASA’s Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholar (LARSS) program. LARSS offers spring, summer and fall paid internships. Wagner is working with the National Institute of Aerospace, a non-profit organization within the Office of Education and Outreach. His assignments include information gathering, writing news releases and features, and managing websites and social media. Wagner earned an associate degree from Rappahannock Community College and is majoring in English with a minor in writing at Christopher Newport University. He is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta international English honor society at CNU and won the university’s Albert J. Millar Merit Award for best literary analysis paper last spring.
