Middlesex County Public Schools is one of 19 Virginia school districts to receive funding to replace diesel school buses with clean energy vehicles. Middlesex will receive $512,346 for the purchase of two electric buses. Overall more than $10.5 million was awarded to replace 83 diesel buses with electric and propane vehicles in funds from the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust, Gov. Ralph Northam announced last Thursday.
