School Board has announced that it will accept letters of interest and resumes from qualified candidates, who must be registered voters in the Petsworth Magisterial District, for the school board seat that was vacated, effective Aug. 15, by Karen Espinoza.
Letters of interest and resumes should be submitted to school board clerk Carol Dehoux by noon tomorrow by mail at 6099 T.C. Walker Road, Gloucester, Va. 23061 or by email at cdehoux@gc.k12.va.us.
The school board will hold a closed meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Conference Room A111 at the T.C. Walker Education Center to discuss applicants. The board anticipates that the appointment of a board member for the vacant seat will be made in open session directly following the closed meeting.
The appointment will be effective for a term beginning Oct. 8 and ending Dec. 31, 2025.
