The schedule is now set for the 12th annual Kekoka Yoga Retreat to be held Sept. 10-12 at YMCA/APYC Camp Kekoka in Kilmarnock.
Retreat co-chair Susan Johnson said the classes range from meditative to challenging and cover a wide range of yoga styles. Over 20 yoga instructors will let attendees sample a variety of instruction and yoga styles in one weekend. Some of the classes to be offered are:
“Mixed Bag Yoga,” an all-levels flow taught by three popular area instructors with hands-on assists from additional KYR teachers to kick off the weekend and connect the participants.
“Yoga Nidra,” a class to help students enter yogic sleep, the state between waking and sleeping.
“Gyrokinetics,” an accessible method of reaping the benefits of yoga, tai chi, ballet and gymnastics without injury, confusion, or loss of focus and understanding.”
“Relax and Rejuvenate,” a breath practice with techniques that help reduce stress and anxiety and improve sleep.
