A Celebration of Life service for Sarah Frances Oliver McGalliard Hubley, 85, of Merrimac, Mass., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at Beech Grove Baptist Church, Coke. She died Aug. 1, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Caroll Elwin Hubley; parents, James P. and Ruby Brown Oliver; sons, Fred L. McGalliard Jr. and John D. McGalliard; brothers, James, Fred, Franklin, Davis and Carlton Oliver, and sisters, Katherine Lindsay and Virginia Jenkins.  

She owned and operated McGalliard’s Poodles and Grooming in Newport News for more than 20 years.

Survivors include sisters, Lydia Rilee of Gloucester, and Ruby Ann Abbott of Hampton, and a granddaughter.

The service will be conducted by the Reverends Clarence Hilling and Bob Robbins. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service in the church social hall.
