Samuel B. Hodges Jr., 77, of Gilbert, Arizona, formerly of West Point, Virginia, died on Saturday, July 6, 2024. He was born in Richmond.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Davis Hodges of Gilbert, formerly of Saluda, Virginia; two sons, Woodland Hodges (Tara) of Queens Creek, Arizona, and Richard Hodges of Antwerp, Belgium; sister, Hilda H. Fauber of West Point; sister-in-law, Sandra Nuttall of Gloucester, and two grandchildren, Greyson Price Hodges and Caroline Rae Hodges, also of Queens Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel (Brown) and Susie Hodges of West Point; a brother, Edward (Rusty) Hodges; sisters, Marjorie Hodges Clark and Doris Hodges Johnston, and his sister-in-law, Pat Collier.
He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
