The Samaritan Group, Incorporated held its 25th annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 28 October 2023 at Piankatank River Course. 11 Teams/44 golfers participated, and 70 sponsors contributed to raise over $10,400 to assist needy children and families in Gloucester County. Special recognition was given to Eva Mullins, who has participated in all the Samaritan Group Golf Tournaments since 1994. The foursome of Tim Reynolds, Cynthia Crawford, Bryton Crawford and Hunter Martin placed second, while Pat Millerleile, Noodle Millerleile, Melvyn Streets and Wanda Marinke came in third.
