Salvation Army food collection next month at local churches

The Salvation Army will conduct its 2019 Harvest Sunday Food Collection Drive next month at several Gloucester churches.
“The shelves of the Salvation Army Food Pantry are almost empty, and you can help,” a Salvation Army release stated. People are invited to bring canned goods and other non-perishable foods to the following churches on these dates:
Sunday, Nov. 3—Gloucester Point Baptist Church, 7741 Terrapin Cove Road, Gloucester Point.
Sunday, Nov. 10—First Baptist Church, 4213 George Washington Memorial Highway, Ordinary.
Sunday, Nov. 17—First Morning Star Church, 8906 Guinea Road, Bena.
Sunday, Nov. 24—The First United Baptist Church, 6188 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester.
Needed food items include crackers, small jars of jelly, canned chicken, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, salad dressing, soups, tuna, sardines, corned beef hash, Vienna sausage, pork and beans, canned green vegetables, canned tomatoes, corn and carrots, spaghetti s...
