Saint Paul Church’s changes for the new year

Susan: Our pastor, Rev. J.R. Laughton, went on a business trip to Middlesex immediately after Christmas but was back in time to hold a very impressive service on the going out of the Old Year and the coming in of the New Year.
The Pastor and Superintendent each received a nice rocking chair, for which many thanks were expressed. The entire school expressed many thanks to Mrs. L.M. Hudgins, of the primary department upon whom was laid the trouble and responsibility of purchasing and arranging the presents, also those who assisted her in that work have the thanks of the school.
The Christmas Tree Entertainment at St. Paul’s passed very quietly. The songs and recitations of the children were well rendered, reflecting much credit upon the committee who volunteered to train them.
