Ruth Miriam Lopez, age 77, of Gloucester, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Ruth was born in Puerto Rico on April 23, 1946 to the late Martin Colon and Julia Ocasio Colon. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Ruth Cruz-Santiago and Julia Santiago; son, Quintin Santiago; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and brother, Martin Colon. Ruth Lopez was a phlebotomist with York Hospital. She also worked as a nurse for maternal health and was a private duty nurse for at-home care. Ruth enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and spending time with her family. She was also an active member of her church community in York, Pa. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 3-4:30 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
