A funeral service for Ruth H. “Holly” Grimes-Crump of Richmond, Va., was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Thirty-First Street Baptist Church, Richmond, Va. Interment followed on Jan. 5, 2015 in the Union Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Gloucester, Va.

Ruth passed away in December 2014. She was born in Gloucester County on Feb. 23, 1954 to the late Isaiah and Ruth Willis Grimes.

Survivors include two sisters, Deloris G. Tabb (Stapleton) of Gloucester and Peggy Grimes of Baltimore, Md.; an aunt, Bertha Gardner of Baltimore; nephew, Gerard Tabb; two nieces, Lisa McCarthy and Christina Grimes; grand-nephew, Lamar McCarthy; two grand-nieces, Andrea and Shanelle McCarthy, and a host of other relatives and friends.
