A funeral service for Russell “Mason” Pugh, 88, of Mathews, was held at 11 a.m. Monday in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. He died Feb. 5, 2015.

Mr. Pugh was a lifelong self-employed commercial fisherman. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Peary, a member of Masonic Lodge, Oriental No. 20 A.F. & A.M., and Tidewater Shrine Club. 

He is survived by his wife, Jean Pugh; four sons, John Allen Davis, D.W. Davis, James D. Hubbard and Roger S. Hubbard; eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Interment followed in St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan.
