Russell Donley McGee II, 70, of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2023. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and retired in 1993 as an environmental specialist working for the U.S. Navy at the shipyard. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Sr. and Nellie McGee, and his son, Russell D. McGee III, and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara McGee; daughter, Sherri Johnson (Art); daughter-in-law, Lisa McGee; sisters, Joyce Benton (Mel), Kathy Kiehner (Brad); brother; Tim McGee (Marie); grandchildren, Anthony Johnson (Boo Man), Courtney McGee (Bones), and Crystal McGee; two uncles; two aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Out of respect for Russell’s wishes, there will not be any services. Memorial donations may be made to either Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to give special thanks to Steven McGee (Emma) and Matt McGee for everything that they did for him.
