Gloucester Ruritan Club president Bill Naquin is shown here presenting a club mug to Jane Wenner, coordinator of the Gloucester County Department of Emergency Management, who was guest speaker for the club’s April dinner meeting at Ann’s Family Diner. She was accompanied by David Dixon, Emergency Planner. Wenner shared that the county is facing predictions of a very active hurricane season. To meet that challenge, her department has programs to ensure community preparedness and planning to meet emergency situations. They coordinate with county churches, organizations and individuals and offer training as well as volunteer programs.
