Ruby “Louise” Owens, age 93, of Gloucester, died at her home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Louise was born on October 18, 1930 to the late David and Vashti Robins Walker. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Leamond Edward Owens; sister, Nellie Wray, and daughter, Kathy Leftwich (Christopher Sr.). Louise is survived by her brother, Melvin Walker (Mildred); her children, Wayne Owens, Warren Lee Sr. (Rosemary), Trisha Weakland (Ken), Michael Owens, and grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Megan, Jennifer, Warren Lee, Michael II, Daniel, Robin, Kenny, Chad, Alyssa, Mallory, and many great-grandchildren. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Chapel of Hogg Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment followed in the Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
