Amelia Stansell, at left, District Governor, Rotary District 7610, met with the Mathews Rotary Club at its meeting last Thursday to discuss the vision for the 2024-2025 year. This year’s double theme is “Irresistible” and “The Magic of Rotary.” Many of the Rotarians in attendance shared what they found irresistible about being a Rotarian (friendship, community, helping others) and how they share the magic with the local community through special projects and fundraising. It was also announced that Andy Eubank and Frank Thomas are new Paul Harris Fellow and Ron Lambert was honored with their second Fellowships. These fellowships were awarded based on their financial contributions and well as their significant volunteer activity. And the club was surprised with a special Rotary International Citation for the work done in 2023-2024 for helping Rotary create hope in the world.
