Marsha Gemerek, chairman of the Samaritan Group, at left, and Jessica Westmoreland, unit director of the Gloucester Boys and Girls Club, right, were guest speakers at the Jan. 13 meeting of the Gloucester Rotary Club at Sweet Tooth Café and Bakery on Main Street. The representatives of the Samaritan Group and Gloucester Boys and Girls Club, two beneficiaries of Rotary donations, gave updates on what their organizations are doing in the community. Each year, Gloucester Rotary receives nominations from its members and then selects 12 to 15 community organizations to receive funds from the charitable fundraising activities the previous fiscal year.
