The Mathews Rotary Club is holding its seventh annual Rockfish Tournament fundraiser on Dec. 14-15 at Morningstar Marinas, Cricket Hill, just across Milford Haven from Gwynn’s Island.
Tournament spokesperson David Fitch said participants can fish and weigh in fish one or both days, and only the heaviest will qualify for winning.
Registration is $150 per boat for four anglers and $25 per additional angler.
This year, the Rotary club is offering $5,000 in guaranteed cash prizes, with first place receiving $3,000, second place, $1,000 and third place, $700. Senior, youth and lady division winners receive $100 each.
The weigh station, at Morningstar Marinas, will be open Dec. 14 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Awards will be given at 5 p.m. on the 15th.
