Ronnie W. Carter, age 57, of Grimstead, Va., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014.

He was a retired long-distance truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Carter; brother, Larry Reynolds, and his father, John Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda S. Carter; daughters, Tiffani Carter-Cooper (Justin) of Georgia; Heather Rutledge (Terry) of Lancaster, Va.; sons, Josh Carter (Mandy) of Deltaville, Va., and Jacob Carter of Mathews, Va.; a sister, Brenda Reynolds; a brother, Rickey Carter, both of Georgia; his mother, Annette Cochran; grandchildren, Gavin and Jackson Cooper, Anthony Marvin and Abigail King, Angel Anderson, Caleb Knighten, Ashton Rutledge, McKinsey Ella Walker and Falynn Faye Carter.

The family received friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, from 7-9 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A funeral service was held on March 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Gwynn’s Island Cemetery, Grimstead.
