Ronald Jack Key, 58, of Gloucester Point, died unexpectedly Dec. 17, 2014.

He had served in the Air Force. Ronald loved fishing, hunting, helping his mother and always being with his dog Whiskey. He was courageous in many facets of his life, and his gentle spirit will always be with us.

Ronald was preceded in death by sisters, Janice Whitehurst and Sue Walker.

He is survived by his mother, Marci Crawford; daughters, Jordan Key and Amanda Hoover; grandchildren, Logan and Jake Hoover; brothers, Jerry Gunter, Gary Key, Paul Sharpe; sisters, Rhonda Paluba, Sandra Ridley, Lisa Fisher, and Wanda Stewart  .

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Gloucester Point Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bud Goude officiating. Inurnment was private.
