Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Goodwin, 64, of Cobbs Creek, Va., passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Ronnie was self-employed in Mathews for 45 years, having obtained a Master Plumber and Electrician’s licenses. He then went to work for Gloucester County as a senior mechanical technician before retiring last year.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Carolyn Goodwin; sister, Linda Fitchett (Dale); son, Jeffery Goodwin; daughter, Cynthia Boyce and her husband Aron whom Ronnie always thought of as his son; mother of his two children, Melody Litwinski; grandchildren, Alyssa, Zoe and Ashton, Tristan and Kendall; stepchildren, Erik and Marissa, and their mother, Tina Goodwin; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, Amy and Leslie, and his two best friends, Tim Pritt and Gerald Brown.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at noon and lasting approximately until 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, 94 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins, Va. 23076 or the Mathews County Fire Department, P.O.
