Ronald Douglas Wynn, 77, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy Wilson Wynn Sr. and Thelma Farrish Wynn. He is survived by two sons, John Brandon Wynn and wife Rachael, and Matthew Douglas Wynn and wife Brianna; brother, Roy Wilson Wynn, Jr. and wife Becky; three grandchildren, Parker Mason Wynn, Samuel Harrison Wynn, and Anna Elizabeth Wynn; first cousin, Martha Bride; two nephews, Bryan and wife Rhonda, and Michael and wife Sarah Wynn. He served as a Gunner’s Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970. Ron was the Director of Information Technology at Virginia Community College System and retired after 32 years. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed being with family. He had a passion for woodworking, music, and fishing.
