Ronald Bland Thomas, 76, of Gloucester, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 peacefully with his family by his side.

He was born in Newport News, Va., to the late Frank and Ruth Jarrell Thomas. After serving in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War, he worked Civil Service at Langley Air Force Base as an electrician until his retirement.

Ronald is survived by his children, Carrie Thomas Barrack (Keith), David Thomas, and John Timmer (Sherry), his grandchildren, Zachary, Brayden, Reid, and Jacob.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, is in charge of arrangements.
