Roland A. Stokes was born on May 30, 1934 in Hayes and died on April 24, 2020 in Hayes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Audrey A. Stokes. Roland and Audrey had four children: Eric Stokes (preceded him in death), Dovie (Dave) Davis, Ronald Stokes, Tracy (Charlie) Green. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Erica Farris, Chris (Paul) Johnson, and Raven (Orlando) Morris; great-grandsons, Cameron Johnson, Dallas Johnson, Christian Pitts and Zaiden Morris. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
