“Rockin’ on the Ware Rivah,” a summer benefit concert for the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic and the Samaritan Group, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Ware River Yacht Club.
Music will be provided by the Tom Euler Trio, Eileen Edmonds, and the Ballast Band which will play in that order. The concert begins at 4 p.m. and lasts until 8. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Connie Mayes (mazeswood@aol.com, 757-532-2265) or Les Sterling (lsterling2@cox.net, 804-815-2250).
Tickets can also be obtained from the Care Clinic, The Silver Box, Whitley’s Peanuts and the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center. Advance tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for teens. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge. The price at the door will be $30.
Food available for purchase includes barbecue, baked beans, chips, cole slaw and a roll, hot dogs and sausage with peppers and onions, dessert and snacks. Cold beer, wine and water may also be purchased.
