Robert Mason Satchell, 75, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born on January 10, 1949, and was the son of the late Richard and E. Jane Satchell.

He served in the U.S. Army and was the building trades teacher at Gloucester High School for many years. He was also an enthusiastic soccer coach in the community and worked as a civil contractor at Fort Eustis.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Satchell, and daughter, Jessica Satchell Feaster. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ellen S. Satchell; daughter, Emily Satchell Vera (Jacob); sons, Gregory Luce and Jason Satchell (Julie); brothers, Dick, Will, and John; sister, Jane; six grandchildren, Conrad, Leo, Bella, Mason, Stella, and Milo, and his beloved yellow lab, Lucy.

Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
