Robert Franklin Hudgins Sr. (Pops), 83, of Gloucester, passed away on Nov. 15, 2022. He will be remembered by many as owner of White Marsh Texaco and towing, which he operated for 43 years. He continued to work for the new owner taking care of his beloved gas station.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hudgins; his sons by marriage, W.T. and Greg Carmine; grandson, Jamie, and his sister, Mary Alice.
He is survived by his wife Martha of 56 years, and sisters, Betty and Shirley, and by sons, Robbie and Gerald (Denise) Hudgins and Cynthia Carmine. Grandchildren include Cara (Colter), Clayton, Tyler (Cristin), Lindsey, Cierra, Katie, and Khloe, and great-grandchildren, Jameson, Josiah, Kenny and Jayden.
Pops will be remembered for his cooking, feeding his birds, watching of Westerns, beautiful roses, love for the Washington Redskins, NASCAR, and his John Deere and Toro. He was his happiest when he had a good meal shared with family and friends. Pops has left us with many precious memories that we will hold close to our hearts and he will be missed by all.
