Robert Charles Engels Sr., 82, of Bena, Va., passed away Jan. 18, 2015 at his home.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bob was president of a heating and air business. He loved saltwater fishing and old western movies. Bob was known for his honesty, integrity and his kind heart. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nobles Engels.

He is survived by his sons, Robert C. “Rob” Engels Jr. of Plano, Texas, and Darryl Engels of Bena; brother, Bill Engels and wife Janice; niece, Becky Bryan, and nephew, Bill Engels Jr.; two granddaughters, and a great-grandson.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
