Richard Allen du Pont of Gloucester, Va., departed for the great blue water on July 8, 2023. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970. He was preceded in death by his beloved Salty; his parents, Clarence du Pont and Ruth K. du Pont Capone. He is survived by sisters, Diane Hasty and Suzanne Yost, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Services are private and under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
