The Mathews County Resources Council will hold a Zoom meeting next Thursday, Aug. 20, with joining the meeting to begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting starting at 9:15.
Mathews County’s Emergency Services Manager Willie Love will provide information concerning the use of the emergency shelter during storms while considering pandemic conditions.
In addition, Lisa Laurier of the Virginia Department of Health will follow up a recent report in the Gazette-Journal regarding reports of deaths due to COVID-19. Maude Donovan of the Mathews Memorial Library will share the success of the library’s summer bookmobile for children. Also, individual membership reports will be given, a release said.
MCRC provides an opportunity for county agencies, service organizations, nonprofits and faith-based organizations to share information important to county residents, the release said.
