Lynn Mehta, the current Artist-in-Residence at Arts on Main in Gloucester, will address a meeting of the Middle Peninsula Fine Arts Association tonight at the main street arts center. Beginning at 6 p.m., the evening is open to members and non-members.
Mehta lives in Alexandria, but during her residency will be staying in Gloucester and while here, she will exhibit her work and hold workshops at Arts on Main. She is a plein air (outdoor) painter, and she is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, and many more professional organizations to which she was elected or was juried for membership. She has won many awards and honors.
